Also Congratulation to a small village girl of India, PINKI and the American Director Megan Mylan for winning an OSCAR in the Best Short Documentary Film "SMILE PINKI".The theme of the film "SMILE PINKI" is heart-touching. Congratulations to all of them who had won this prestigeous OSCAR award, 2009.

Its a first time for an Indian to get two Oscars for BEST ORIGINAL SCORE & SONG JAI HO.... A GREAT HONOUR FOR A.R.RAHMAN.

Before this, two Indians got an Oscar; Satyajit Ray and Bhanu Athaiya.

Satyajit Ray a famous Indian film maker got Oscar in the year 1992 for Contribution to the world of cinema and Bhanu Ataiya shared the Oscar with John Mollo for the film "Gandhi" in the year 1982 for Costume Designing.

YESTERDAY, I WAS WATCHING AWARD FUNCTION OF BOLLYWOOD IN TELEVISION. IT WAS FANTASTIC BUT THERE WAS SOME HOT/COOL-TALKS BETWEEN ASHUTOSH GOWARIKAR AND SAJID REGARDING MAINTAINING THE DIGNITY OF THE FUNCTION AND NOT TO DO MIMICRY AND ALL DURING THE AWARD CEREMONY.

ASHUTOSH WAS RIGHT, BECAUSE THE AWARD CEREMONIES ARE PRRESTIGEOUS FUNCTION AND HERE ACTORS ARE AWARDED FOR THEIR BEST WORK/PERFORMANCES. BUT ONLY FOR THE SAKE OF ENTERTAINMENT THIS SORT OF MIMICRY AND ALL IN THIS TYPE OF FUNCTION SHOULD BE AVOIDED.

IN THE ENTERTAINMENT WORLD, EVERYONE FROM DIRECTORS TO PRODUCER TO ACTORS AND TO THE LAST MAN OF THE UNIT IS CONCERNED ABOUT THE AUDIENCE LIKINGS & RESPONSE, SO EVERYONE IS GIVING THEIR BEST.

IMPORTANCE OF MEDIA IN AWARING PEOPLE ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING AND ENVIRONMENTAL THREATS.

Media can play a very important role in making people aware of GLOBAL WARMINGand its effect. Media have to find the causes of the environmental pollution and global warming and bring truth in front of the community, so that people can understand WHAT TO DO and WHAT NOT TO DO.

A forum should be made where common people, Industrialist, Govt. Officials, Environmentalist, Researchers & Scientists and Media personalities can come in one platform and discuss the findings by media and other agencies to SAVE THE EARTH. Media is a very effective medium through which we can make people understand and make them know about the effects of environmental pollution.
