Management of Today

Management of Today.

Before going to the deep, I would like to first off all define what is management ? According to Peter Drucker – “Management is a multi-purpose organ that manages business and manages managers and manages workers and work." If we deeply go through this definition of Peter Drucker, he is saying that Management has many hands, one hand plans what to do at present and future and deligates to other hand i.e. CEO, VP, Sr.Managers, Managers  and executives to implement, motivate and influence employees and get the work done. Ultimate thing of management is to put right people at the right place at the right time and achieve the organizational goal.
According to Mary Parker Follet, - "Management is the art of getting things done through people." This definition itself says what said above.
So we have to learn the art of motivating people or workers to that extent by which we can achieve the goal or target easily .Many senior people or workers might have problems, but we as a management people have to sort out the problem and divert them in achieving the organizational goals. In a small company management is only an individual but in large company management is a group of individuals or people who plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the company. What I said earlier that management has many hands, from that many hands some hands have to motivate people, some have to coordinate them, some have to see whether the materials came in time or not, some have to see machine is running properly or not and lastly every hand have to see whether we are achieving the goal or not.
The basic function of management is-Planning, Organising, Influencing and Controlling which makes up the total process of the management. It is totally a group work. Management is very vast. It is the ABCD for any organization to run successfully and achieve new heights.
